This decision was taken despite i8 basically quite easy to be transformed into a front-wheel drive, rear wheel drive, or four-wheel drive as an alternative.
The news had circulated is the BMW M8 will use a lot of carbon fiber and aluminum chassis taken from i8. Taking design elements from e M1 Hommage concept is introduced at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2008.
V8 engine that goes down will make it able to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 3 seconds, while the maximum speed will reach 320 km / hour.
When BMW M8 actually present it will compete directly with the Audi R8 GT and Mercedes Benz SLS. While the M8 still not meet the fate of the intersection, a car that barely make a sound, zero emission, i8 version will appear at the end of 2013.
