No Smoking While Driving!

According to survey data from a UK institution, the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), more than half of motorists support a ban on smoking while driving.

Reported Motors (04/19/13), the subject of the questionnaire are the drivers, they expressed concern to the attention of smokers while behind the wheel. As many as 75 percent of respondents said that smoking while driving is a serious diversion. Only two percent of drivers who feel smoking while driving is not dangerous action.

Overall the survey shows riders have a negative opinion about the activities permitted while driving. Almost half of these activities is considered irresponsible form. While more than 40 percent said, smoking while driving is as dangerous as using a mobile phone.

In contrast to using a cell phone while driving has its own punishment. Smoking equated with eating while driving, a gray area because the police must prove the loss of the rider before the ticketed driver's concentration on the charge of driving without care and attention.

"Smoking is clearly seen as a serious issue for motorists, highlighting the impact of interference in the car. Possible health problems is obvious, but research needs to be studied further to determine whether there are grounds of road safety needs to be dealt with on this issue regulations prohibiting smoking and driving at all, "said Simon Best, IAM chief executive.
